qualifying the WBJEE exam with rank 1200 and got selected by councelling in Haldia institute of tecnology in computer science and engineering department on 8th august 2009. councelling was held at yuvabharati stadium saltlake on july2009. I was so much nervous on that day, I actually wanted to admit in this college, I was nervous for that if I am not getting chance in haldia institute of technology.

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Near about 100 companies visit per year. They offer huge placements to students. All get an average of 3-4 LPA in placements. Just a decent CGPA of 8.5 is needed for a good offer. Our department has a placement record of approx 95%. I will also opt for campus placement.

An average of 30 to 35% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered ranges from 7 LPA to 8 LPA. Wipro and Infotech are some construction companies that visit our campus. We also have new start-up companies and some marketing companies that mostly visit our college. They are providing lots of offers to students.
